Business Development Sales Manager | The Star Brisbane
Step into a Sales Manager role where you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and converting leads into confirmed revenue. Working across key market segments, you'll drive proactive business development activity, manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, and maximise MICE opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract conversion.
In this results focused role, you'll develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, execute strategic sales initiatives, negotiate and close business, and consistently deliver against revenue targets. Working closely with operational and commercial leaders, you'll leverage market insights, strengthen industry partnerships, and ensure every opportunity is progressed effectively to achieve profitable outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven success in business development, account management, and MICE sales, with a strong track record of converting leads and opportunities into confirmed revenue across Rooms and Business Events.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and develop strategic partnerships that drive repeat business and long term growth.
- Strong sales and commercial acumen, with experience managing a sales pipeline, negotiating contracts, closing business, and consistently delivering against sales and revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across operational and commercial teams to maximise conversion opportunities and deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Sound understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, with the ability to translate insights into targeted sales strategies and profitable business results.
