As our Head of Financial Crime Policy Advisory & Reporting, reporting to the General Manager Financial Crime, you will support the Company’s commitment to full compliance with financial crime laws, regulations, and best practices.

This is a fantastic opportunity, where you will play a key role in advising the company on Financial Crime Policies, Risk Methodologies, FC Advisory matters, and internal and external reporting.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a policy architecture for financial crime, with responsibility for all AML/CTF Program documentation, version, and change controls.
  • Risk appetite definition and monitoring
  • Enterprise-wide financial crime assessments
  • Regulatory engagement and supervisory liaison
  • Advisory to frontline and operations teams
  • Executive and Board reporting (MI, dashboards, risk, insights)
  • Regulatory reporting governance forums (risk committees, escalation, pathways)
  • Providing oversight, setting direction and ensuing transparency of financial risk.
  • Managing a team of 6 persons

What we are looking for:

  •  At least 10 years’ experience in a policy, assurance, compliance, or risk management role in a casino / gaming or wagering environment, bank, corporation, or government agency.
  • Broader experience in disciples such as law, compliance, law enforcement or experience within AUSTRAC is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary studies in a subject which requires a high level of critical analysis and independent research is desirable, e.g., Auditing, Business, Law, Economics, Accounting.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing, leading and managing others.
  • Experience in drafting AML/CTF Programs, related policy, frameworks, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • A track record of timely project delivery, overcoming hurdles and complex issues.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including detailed reports and presentations.
