The Director of Table Games role reports directly to the General Manager, Table Games and Premium Services and offers an extraordinary opportunity to both lead and inspire the Table Games team, providing a positive and memorable guest experience.  The role also focuses on supporting the General Manager in the 24/7 planning, implementation, and execution of business objectives for the gaming operation. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can apply your skills and knowledge to deliver a thrilling new era for Gaming within The Star Sydney.  

A few of your responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Gaming Managers and their teams, Product Specialist and QA Manager to drive a high performing team that delivers an excellent customer experience 
  • Review, make recommendations and take accountability on initiatives that improve operational effectiveness in line with established policies and procedures 
  • Build and embed a Continuous Improvement Program and culture across Guest Experience, Compliance, and Operations teams 
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Legal and Compliance to ensure that compliance obligations are managed in line with agreed standards 
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and reduce operational risks and reduce operational breaches 

What we are looking for: 

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Senior Gaming Leadership role  
  • RCG Competency Card 
  • Demonstrated ability in controlling labour costs and operating expenses 
  • Exposure to Gaming systems 
  • Strong understanding of Casino rules and regulations 
  • Understanding of relevant statutory and reporting requirements
