The Breach Manager, reporting to the Director of Risk & Compliance, will work closely with the General Manager of Risk & Compliance to develop, implement, and oversee breach management strategies and processes that deliver high‑quality outcomes aligned with regulatory expectations and requirements.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Support the Director and General Manager of Risk & Compliance with daily tasks and breach management across The Star Sydney property, providing guidance to the broader team
  • Lead and role‑model the full breach management lifecycle from creation to closure
  • Support the business with root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and control gaps
  • Prepare accurate and timely breach notifications for regulators
  • Prepare insight, trend, and key metric reporting on breaches Maintain Incident and Breach Management registers in the GRC system to ensure complete and accurate records
  • Maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks
  • Monitor emerging compliance requirements and assist with implementation
  • Manage the Senior Breach Analyst

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, law, business, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience in risk, compliance, audit, or licensed gaming roles
  • Knowledge of ICMs, SOPs, and risk governance frameworks
  • Skilled in risk assessment, analytics, and compliance monitoring
  • Strong understanding of the Casino Control Act (NSW), AML/CTF obligations, and other key regulations governing casino operations

With a strong understanding of casino regulatory requirements, you bring a strategic mindset and a hands‑on approach to managing breaches end‑to‑end. You’re naturally detail‑oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and governance.

You’re someone who leads by example, champions compliance, and is motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a large and highly regulated operation.
