As an Assistant Venue Manager at Nineteen at The Star, you will be a pro-active and enthusiastic individual who is an expert within leading a large and diverse team. In this role you will assist with the day–to-day operation of this fine dining venue providing effective management of a dynamic team.
Your strong wine knowledge and passion for modern dining will allow you to confidently recommend dishes and pairings, elevate the guest journey, and build lasting customer loyalty. As a visible and approachable leader, you will coach and mentor the team in real time, driving professionalism, warmth, and consistency throughout the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of guest focus in all services, ensuring that guest service delivery is effective and efficient
- Coordinate operational functions that include rostering requirements, standard operating procedures, training and performance management
- Ensure compliance with the Responsible Service of Alcohol and relevant provisions of the Liquor Act
- Assist with the selection, training and development of the team to ensure timely recruitment and career growth opportunities
- Assist the Venue Manager to achieve operational and financial targets
What are we looking for
- Food & Beverage leadership experience with a thorough knowledge of food and beverages
- A passion and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and leading operational teams to deliver great guest experiences
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests and team members
- Highly organised, accountable, and eager, with a high attention to detail
- Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol – RMLV/Approved Manager an advantage
