Join our team as a Cashier Services Duty Manager at The Star Brisbane. 

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre. This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

The Cashier Services Duty Manager reports directly to the Director of Cashier Services and is responsible for managing the cash services and count functions in accordance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements to achieve business goals and compliance with all external financial requirements.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and actively promote all service standards ensuring positive guest relations
• Manage team to ensure The Star meets all requirements under the AML / CTF (Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing) program
• Ensure the training and development of Cage Operations team in the areas of cash handling, computer systems and The Star internal controls and procedures
• Manage the daily cash control and reporting of cash/cash equivalents within area of responsibility
• Manage the departmental scheduling requirements ensuring that manpower operating levels are in accordance with requirements and within budgetary guidelines

What are we looking for:

• Tertiary studies in business/accounting or related field, desirable
• Extensive management experience within Casino Finance Environment
• Working Knowledge of domestic and international banking requirements
• Exposure to a casino and/or gaming environment, desirable.
• Knowledge of Cage & Count procedures
• Understanding of relevant statutory and reporting requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
