As a Safety & Security Supervisor at The Star, you'll play a key role in supporting the Safety & Security Duty Manager to oversee the department's daily operations, ensuring a safe and secure environment across every part of our property.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Leading investigations and ensuring scenes are preserved when necessary.
• Ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws related to operating a Hotel/Casino complex.
• Guiding and supporting the team while addressing matters related to the wellbeing, safety, and protection of our team members, guests, and assets.
• Managing situations involving inappropriate behavior by guests or team members, including prevention, resolution, and safe removal or eviction when needed.
• Providing regular, constructive feedback to the team, coaching and counseling when needed, and taking corrective or disciplinary action as appropriate to foster growth and maintain standards.

What are we looking for:

• Suitable experience and/or qualification within the security industry
• Demonstrated supervisory experience
• Senior First Aid Certificate (including advanced resuscitation and defibrillation)
• Qualification in the use and application of restraints
• Knowledge of Casino Control Act Qld 1982, Knowledge of Qld Criminal Code and Knowledge of QLD Liquor Act 1992 is highly regarded
