The Health & Safety Advisor role reports directly to the Senior Health & Safety Manager and supports the execution of our health and safety strategy. By fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing, this role plays a vital part in reducing incidents, improving health and productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

A few of your responsibilities:
- Assist with the continuous improvement of The Star Safety Management System (SMS) on property.
- Develop partnership-style relationships with management and supervisors to foster engagement with the health and safety program.
- Proactively identify health and safety risks and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective controls.
- Support incident investigations to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and share insights across The Star.
- Conduct audits and inspections with management and Health & Safety Representatives (HSRs) to drive continuous improvement.
What we will be looking for:
- A minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or the ability to achieve.
- Newly qualified graduates with a degree or master's in Occupational Health & Safety are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and drive positive change.
- Strong knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation and standards.
- Experience with implementing and improving safety management systems is advantageous.
