The Safety & Security Duty Manager, reporting to the Security Operations Manager, will help the department to implement strategies and measures to identify and reduce incidents of theft, assaults, vandalism, disorderly conduct and all other illegal and undesirable activities within the The Star Brisbane complex.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Maintain record of shift matters, actions and events
• Handle guest enquiries and disputes to ensure best outcomes
• Conduct investigations and ensure the preservation of the scene
• Conduct WHS risk assessments, ensuring WHS policy is adhered to at all times
• Development and training, as well as providing direction to the team

What we will be looking for:

• Suitable experience and/or qualification withing the security industry
• Demonstrated supervisory experience
• Qualification in the use and application of restraints
• Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular the Casino Control Act
• Ability in planning and resourcing people, performance management and controlling labour costs

As a member of the Safety & Security leadership team, you will manage and guide to our Safety & Security Officers, supervising on the job performance and assisting with driving department initiatives and cultural values.
