The Data Visualisation Engineer reports directly to the Data Visualisation Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and development of the roadmap and strategy for the reporting and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos Analytics), and related reporting and analytics platform supporting applications. 

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to ensure the appropriate level of proactive monitoring is in place across the platforms.  

A few of your responsibilities 

• Take responsibility for all stages in the design and implementation of Reporting and Analytics Platforms, and related Reporting and Analytics Platform Supporting Applications, development work. 

• Develop, document, and maintain platform-based standards, advise on their application and implementation, and ensure compliance. 

• Work with Data Engineers, The Head of Data, and any other analysts to develop, document, and maintain Reporting, Data Models, Data Dictionaries, and other related information. 

• Work with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, and Solution Architects to develop, document, and maintain Reporting and Analytics Platforms, and related Reporting and Analytics platforms supporting Applications, standards, designs, roadmaps, and the like 

What we are looking for 

• Experience in working with Power BI or other data visualisation tools (Tableau, Qlik, advanced Excel reporting). 

• Experience in working with SQL databases. 

• An understanding of the Microsoft Azure data stack. 

• Highly skilled in verbal and written communication to analyse, interpret and address customer needs at multiple levels. 

• Displayed effective interaction with all levels of the workforce and leadership. 

 About you: 

You possess a keen attention to detail and an analytical mindset, allowing you to transform complex data into clear and insightful visualisations. Your ability to use SQL to meticulously analyse and present data is essential in turning information into actionable insights, helping to bridge the gap between raw data and informed decision-making.
