As the Assistant Manager, reporting to the Venue Manager, you will assist to lead the team at Cucina Porto, our award winning restaurant serving up honest Italian food using the best ingredients with a touch of old-world hospitality and charm.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will have the opportunity to create a unique dining experience for our guests, take good care, and lead a dynamic team with integrity.

A few of your responsibilities:    

  • Lead the team on shift ensuring a commitment to guest service excellence
  • Assist Venue Manager to achieve financial and operational targets
  • Oversee operational functions that include rostering requirements, standard operating procedures, training and performance management
  • Ensure Responsible Service Alcohol standards are met at all times
  • Assist in managing the selection, training and development of the team, providing career growth opportunities

What we are looking for:   

  • Food & Beverage leadership experience with a thorough knowledge of food and beverages
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people and products, performance management and controlling labour costs and operating expenses
  • Exceptional guest service skills with a proactive attitude and natural ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests
  • Highly organised and eager, with a high attention to detail
  • Current NSW RSA card
  • Flexible availability over a 7 day roster
