As the Security Operations Manager, you will provide exceptional leadership while managing security operations on a daily basis, ensuring the protection of The Star’s patrons, staff, assets & integrity.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your operational security leadership and customer service skills at The Star Gold Coast.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Security in the development and implementation of the business plans and the achievement of the Security department’s strategies
  • Assist in the formulation of measures to enhance protection of Company assets
  • Implement strategies to identify and reduce incidents of theft, assaults, vandalism, disorderly conduct and all other illegal and undesirable activities within The Star
  • Implement strategies to ensure The Star Security customer service targets are achieved
  • Provide direction and support to the department to ensure an integrated system of employee relations and performance while ensuring organisational objectives are prevalent in any new initiatives

What are we looking for:

  • Current Cert 4 in Risk Management, Security Industry Licence, Senior First Aid, RSA and RCG
  • Advanced Conflict Resolution and Incident Management
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people, performance management and controlling labour costs and operating expenses.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing productive relationships and managing and driving change, as well as considerable experience in security and management preferably within the Casino industry
  • Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular, Casino Control Act and regulations, NSW Liquor Act, Security Industry Act and Crimes Act.
