About the Role
As a Marketing Manager at Queen’s Wharf Precinct, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Through-The-Line campaigns that enhance the visibility, appeal, and accessibility of The Star Brisbane and Queen’s Wharf.

You’ll also drive engagement in cultural and weekly activations, such as the First Nations Cultural Heritage Walks, Skyline Cinema, and City Market.
Reporting to the Senior Leisure & Entertainment Marketing Manager, and as part of a team of five, this newly created role will see you take on creative briefs, collaborate with both external agencies and internal teams (PR, Social, Digital), and deliver high-impact campaigns—on time, within budget, and with maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and execute brand and tactical marketing campaigns that drive precinct visitation, event ticket sales, and ROI.
- Develop and implement marketing communications across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Provide detailed creative briefs to agencies, ensuring campaign objectives, target audiences, messaging, and branding are aligned.
- Coordinate with media agencies, PR teams, and social media partners to ensure impactful media coverage and community engagement.
- Partner with tourism bodies to integrate the precinct into city and regional marketing campaigns.
- Conduct post-campaign analysis to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage the marketing budget, including monthly reporting, accruals, and financial coordination.
- Foster a guest-obsessed culture, ensuring marketing strategies enhance visitor experience, build loyalty, and drive engagement.
- Use your exceptional stakeholder management skills to influence, build trust, and drive change where needed.
About You:
Your experience in attracting audiences to high-footfall destinations—whether a world-class shopping precinct, sporting arena, or major global event (e.g., the Commonwealth Games or Olympics)—has honed your ability to drive participation and attendance at a premier 24/7 entertainment destination.
A marketing generalist with a sharp eye for detail, you excel in project management, stakeholder engagement, and executing high-impact campaigns. You’re known for your collaborative style, strategic thinking, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
This permanent, hybrid role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of Brisbane’s global transformation—building momentum towards the 2032 Olympics and shaping Australia’s entertainment destination of choice!
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in marketing, advertising, or brand development within a hospitality, integrated resort, sporting, or entertainment precinct.
- Strong ability to lead and influence teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments while managing tight and conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to lead discussions, manage stakeholder expectations, and navigate complex projects.
- Understanding of privacy, marketing, and regulatory laws—particularly as they relate to alcohol, gaming, and event promotions.
What can we offer you:
- Complimentary meal on site every day, including hot meals, sandwich bar and more
- Discounted parking available in the city
- Up to 30% Discounts across award winning restaurants and accommodation
- Career development, training, and courses via The Star Academy – limitless career opportunities
