The Cook reports directly to the Restaurant Executive Chef and offers an energetic, hands-on approach to creating an exciting, fresh environment focused on safety, flawless product execution, and culinary excellence.

A few of your responsibilities
- Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations, including benchtops, chillers, freezers, and dry storage areas, while adhering to FIFO and ingredient labelling standards
- Complete all duties in line with company and statutory hygiene requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to quality
What we will be looking for
- Proficiency with diverse food preparation techniques and cooking equipment
- 2-3 years of experience in food preparation, preferably in a café or high-volume setting, with strong communication skills and understanding of relevant liquor laws
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
About You
You are a versatile and adaptable cook with a strong foundation in food preparation, able to seamlessly transition between different kitchen environments. With 2-3 years of experience in high-volume settings, you thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining a keen eye for detail and quality. Your exceptional communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management. You bring a proactive, positive attitude to every task and are committed to consistently delivering high standards. Additionally, you are flexible and ready to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
