The Venue Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and offers an extraordinary opportunity to both lead and inspire operations at an array of venues, providing a positive and memorable guest experience. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your general product and technical knowledge to deliver a wonderful experience for our guests, leading with a hands-on approach that demonstrates efficiency while taking good care.  

 

Venues we are recruiting for:

Black Bar & Grill – Sydney’s best steakhouse showcasing wood-fired steaks and seafood with fresh seasonal produce overlooking the beautiful Pyrmont Bay. Awarded “Best Steak Restaurant” and “Goblets and Gourmet Traveler Wine List of the Year” 3 years in a row!!! 

Sokyo – Awarded and maintained One Hat Restaurant for 9 years running. Sleek, electric atmosphere with a sunken dining room and bold calligraphy. This is where ritual meets art in every dish and every little detail, everywhere you look.  

Cucina Porto - voted the best Italian restaurant in Sydney (Trip Advisor, Jan 2024), and our Restaurant Executive Chef, Martino Pulito awarded "Chef of the Year" at the 2023 NSW Accommodation awards for Excellence. A few of your responsibilities:   

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the venues including selection, training, coaching and development of all team members to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
  • Reviewing and analysing the daily operational needs; maintaining food and beverage, labour, product, and expenses on budget
  • Leading and motivating the team to continuously deliver guest experience in line with our service culture
  • Overall responsibility for financial KPOs and KPIs relating to gross revenue, costs of goods sold, employee costs and other operating costs in line with budget
  • Accurate forecasting of business activity and associated costs

 

What we are looking for:   

  • Extensive Management experience in a restaurant environment that includes a cocktail/beverage bar
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and thorough knowledge of beverages
  • Proactive and well-rounded leader who can empower and encourage the team to deliver a personalised and professional service to all guests 
  • Confidence to lead a large and diverse team across a 24/7 roster
  • Hands-on operational approach with passion for developing your career
